– We will go to Dilijan. For me Dilijan is one of the most beautiful places in Armenia. I hope you will like it.
– Where is Dilijan located? What is the distance from Yerevan to Dilijan?
– Dilijan is in Tavush province, on the bank of the River Akhstev. It is about 106 km from Yerevan. It usually takes 2 hours to get there by car or by bus.
– What else can you tell about Dilijan?
– According to the locals, the name “Dilijan”means “sweet tongue” (sweet sound). Dilijan’s climate is healthy with fresh air because it is surrounded with forests of fir trees. Dilijan is rich in natural springs of fresh and mineral water. Dilijan Mineral Water is rich in minerals that are natural remedies for the people with digestive problems, and the forests of fir trees help people with larynx problems..
– Are there any historical monuments in or near Dilijan?
– Of course, there are. Not far from Dilijan is the Monastry Haghartsin.
